About Us
Founded by Doris Beckert and sponsored by the Sacramento Italian Cultural Society in 1987, Balliamo began learning various types of Italian dances and has since become Northern California's premier Italian Cultural dance group.
Our dance repertoire includes Tarantellas, Mazurkas, Country Dances, Renaissance, and we continuously learn new dances by attending conferences put on by the Italian Folk Art Federation of America (IFAFA). The dances are representative of the various regions in Italy and give our audiences a feel for its' dynamic and rich culture.
We perform at Private Events, Cultural Events, Festivals, Parades, and Fairs, so if you are interested in having us at your event, please contact us!
